Misfit Flash

Let’s face it. Getting fit can be rough. Sometimes the best motivation is just being able to see that what you are working so hard at is actually measurable! And this is exactly what Misfit tries to do with all of their fitness bands. The Misfit is a different design then other fitness bands on the market giving you a sleek look that measures your activity and sleep, syncs with your smartphone, and comes in a variety of colors to fit every ones look.

One way to monitor your progress and increase your motivation is with Misfit Wearables.

Functionality

I have become obsessed with my Misfit. I’ve tried other trackers in the past like the Nike Fuelband and Jawbone and neither can touch the Misfit Flash. Why? Accuracy, app functionality and water proof quality. These three categories set the Misfit flash apart from its expensive competitors. You might think to yourself, well the Nike fuel band and the Jawbone do the same thing; well yes and no. What the Misfit Flash does that the others don’t is being fully waterproof and better yet, track with accuracy.

The app tracks any kind of activity you could imagine and suggests the best placement for wearing it depending on the kind of exercise you are doing. Running? foot. Biking? Ankle, etc. The measurement is live and the most accurate read you can get. And further more, the sleep tracker is accurate. It knows when I’m tossing and turning, or if I even get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night!

Misfit Flash Style

The app that accompanies the Misfit is fun and functional. I loved my Misfit so much that I purchased another for my best friend for Christmas so we could compete via the app. You can connect with your friends using social media accounts and compete on activity points!

Final Thoughts

Lastly, and perhaps my favorite feature of the Misfit, is the water proof quality and durability. As someone who loves swimming (in efforts to spare my knees from continuous running down the road), this is an amazing feature! With the Fuelband, I was constantly annoyed I couldn’t monitor my swims. The Misfit is fully waterproof and able to be used, submerged in the water.

Overall, the Misfit is shaping up to be the best Fitness band I have owned yet. It is truly helping me pursue my fitness goals as it allows me to do more than other bands I have had in the past and also does a better job tracking all my motions and daily activities better. And the best thing is, you don’t have to spend over $100 to buy this fitness band. They’re only $30!

  1. I’m really looking into getting a Misfit Flash (can’t beat that price!) but in a lot of reviews I’m seeing that the device pops out of the wrist band very easily (or that the band itself just breaks). I’ve also seen reviews in which the reviewer has stated the device just stopped working altogether.
I’m wondering if you could address these issues? Have you noticed any of the above issues with your tracker?
    Thanks!

  2. Hi Kaylee,

My personal favorite one is the misfit Shine. It’s a little more expensive, but it is definitely a lot better quality. As for the actual device popping out; the only time I’ve ever had this is when there was a lot of pressure being pushed on it. I work out with mine on and even when I’m move out round a lot or playing sports with it on, I have never had it come out. Only pressure being put directly on the device has it happened. Same thing with the band. It’s never fallen off of me, but I do have a few friends have have had it get caught on something and it pulled it off. From working out or normal routines I don’t see that happen, nor has it happen to me. And last! I’ve had mine for about a year and it works just fine. The flash although has had problems stopping. I would go with the shine or shine 2. Worth the money!
